The Kartolis Device is a limited series about a group of soldiers who come back from a remote training mission to find that the world is suddenly empty of people. They set about trying to solve the mystery and find a way to live in this new world.

Everyone of the soldiers has a strange dream with a loved one telling that they should get processed too to join them in the new virtual world.

The soldiers find a place to settle in for the night. With the civilians that they've found they little more around the timeline around when the world changed suddenly.

The team decide to take out the Machine Intelligence responsible for the state of the world, but it will come with a heavy price.

The soldiers investigate a nearby airbase only to find that the base isn't abandoned, and the soldiers there aren't like normal people, something is very wrong with them.
Issue 4
Shapiro leads his team to investigate the strange chip that they found, only to be attacked. It seems the strange people still know how to fight.
